What are the five cricket rules that will change after the corona epidemic?

Today the entire country is fighting the coronavirus epidemic. But remember, we have to fight against the disease, not the sick. Do not discriminate them, respect them. You must also have heard this line. Yes. Now, whichever phone you call, this voice is heard. But the problem is also serious. Coronavirus has changed the activities not only of the whole country but of the whole world. It has affected every region of the world, whatever it may be. Coronavirus has also made its impact on cricket. Because of this, everyone hoped that when cricket starts, there will be some changes in it and it happened.  The International Cricket Council (ICC) has changed some rules of cricket. Let's know about the changes in those rules.

Corona Substitute got approval.

The first major change that the ICC has made is that the Corona Substitute player has been approved. Meaning if any of the 11 players playing in a test match saw signs of coronavirus in the middle of the field during the game, then they would be immediately taken off the field and another player would replace him. . The Substitute may also bat or bowl in place of that player. This rule will be applicable in Test matches and in T20 and ODIs, the team will not be able to substitute the player.

Prohibiting the use of saliva on the ball

You all know that bowlers used saliva, their spit, to make the ball shine, which  keep the ball glowing and make ir easier to swing. But now bowlers will not be able to do so. Because the ICC has prohibited the use of saliva on the ball as it might increase the risk of infection. Many former bowlers believe that this will help the game of cricket for the batsmen and it will be a problem for the bowlers. Many former players have ruled out the ban on the use of saliva, but the ICC has also made other suggestions such as bowlers can use wax or their sweat to shine the ball. Apart from this, a fine of 5 runs will also be imposed for the use of saliva. If the player applies saliva to the ball, he will be warned twice but for the third time, the batting team will be given 5 runs.

Approval to local umpires.

The ICC Cricket Committee, headed by former India bowler Anil Kumble, had recently recommended to the ICC Chief Executive Committee that the local umpire should officiate in cricket matches from now on. The ICC Chief Executive Committee has given its approval to this decision and henceforth the local umpire i.e. the umpire of the same country will officiate in the matches. Till now, the umpires selected by the ICC used to go to different countries all over the world for umpiring, but now this will not happen. The ICC has done this because of the challenges in international travel due to the epidemic. It will be many years later that there will be domestic umpires in Test cricket. This means India's three umpires C Shamshuddin, Anil Chaudhary and Nitin Manon will officiate in the home series against England next year.

An extra DRS and a 32 inch logo also

If a decision by the umpire does not seem right, then the team uses DRS to revisit it. From now on, the teams will get an additional DRS as from now on the Test series will have local umpires. This is also a major decision of the ICC. Apart from this, now the teams will be able to put another 32 inch logo on their jerseys to compensate for the economic loss to the cricket boards due to coronavirus.
These were some of the rules that would be seen in cricket after the coronavirus epidemic.
